Bio

Dr. Vijay Kumar is the Curators’ Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His research activities include Data Dissemination through Wireless Channels, Mobile Database Systems (MDS), Sensor Technology, System Security and Trust management, Web Technology, and Bioinformatics. A number of these projects are funded by grants from National Science Foundation, HP labs, Sprint, and St Lukes Hospital research Foundations. He has over 70 refereed publications in ACM TODS, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TMC, ACM Communications, and others. He has written four books which have been published by John Wiley, Prentice Hall, and Kluwer.
